Description

Obviously, NOT MY WORK. I'll have his link up very soon. I left his business card yet again in my car. I was trying to take everything out that I needed and I still forgot it.

I ran across this artist a farmer's market held in Trenton, Florida. I was disappointed that I had a competitor lol. But I realized I didn't, his work is SO different from my own.

His works consists of old clock work guts. He works with clock guts made out of brass with engraving on it that has already been done for the clock design it was chosen for. The brass plate has been finished with a chemical that darkens the beautiful etchings, I forget what it was called, something with an L? The pendant is finished off with a silver prong holding a beautiful piece of chrome dispode to accent the gut works. This was the smallest piece of his works that started at 40 dollars, but because I'm an artist myself and know the works of a jeweler, he gave me a kind discount for 30 dollars, and mainly cause it was an xmas gift given to me from a family member who attended the farmer's market with me and to make his one and only sale for the day of satisfaction.

The stuff used to darken was likely Liver of Sulphur.
(Every jeweler should have some. Works on copper & silver too, and you can get nice colors out of it as a patina.)
